A good digital marketing report explains the results achieved and the next decision to make. Large numbers of charts or high total traffic do not create management value on their own. It should be clear which process the advertising, website, and sales data measures. Before reading the report, identify the question you want answered about budget, content, or sales follow-up.
Avoid combining indicators from different stages
Impressions, clicks, form submissions, and won business are different steps. Combining them in a single results total can overstate performance. Document the source and definition of each indicator. A conversion in the advertising platform may not have an equivalent in the CRM; explain differences in measurement and attribution. If data is missing, explain which decisions cannot yet be made instead of hiding the gap. An unknown value does not mean zero results.
- Metric definitions and data sources
- Missing data and attribution limits
Make comparison conditions visible
Aim to compare periods with the same number of days, comparable timing, and the same campaign objective. Seasonality, a new product, or a price change can affect results. More inquiries alongside increased spending do not by themselves demonstrate improved efficiency. Look at the relationship between appropriate cost and quality as well as totals. When presenting a rate, make its numerator and denominator clear; do not build a sweeping success story from a small sample. Record the changes made and their dates in the report.
- Comparable periods
- Notes on changes and seasonality
Include the sales team’s assessment
Track how many inquiries were actually suitable, how many led to conversations, and which quotes progressed. Distinguish unanswered inquiries from unsuitable ones. Without this distinction, advertising targeting and sales operations can end up blaming each other. For a business owner, budget decisions depend on more than inexpensive inquiries: they also depend on the likelihood of those inquiries becoming business outcomes. Use stage and reason information without unnecessarily duplicating personal data in the report.
- Lead suitability and response status
- Quote and sales stages
Before putting this into practice
If the management report will lead to a budget decision, the table should show which inquiries were suitable. Clicks and total form submissions alone may not explain the sales team’s capacity or the value of the conversations.
Finish the report with actions
For each significant finding, define the action, the person responsible, and the date for review. A report that repeatedly describes the same problem without assigning work does not improve the workflow. ReklamKlik interprets campaign and website data alongside CRM feedback. If management wants a single indicator, it also explains the limits within which that indicator is meaningful. At the next meeting, check whether previous decisions were implemented as well as reviewing the latest numbers.

- Follow-up on previous decisions
